Tucker, a Dogs at Camp Foster Camper, was adopted by Stephanie – a staff member at Dogs at Camp Cookstown.
Here is an update from Stephanie:
On my first day of work at Dogs at Camp Cookstown there were many dogs at camp, but my eyes were instantly drawn to an adorable ginger lab mix named Tucker. I assumed, of course, that he was a camper (somebody’s dog!) but my co-worker told me that he was actually part of our Foster Camper rescue program, and was up for adopttion. I’m convinced that it was fate! After that shift I knew I was going to take Tucker home with me (somehow!) as soon as possible.
After a couple of weeks of talking it over with my family, we decided to do ‘go for it’! The more I worked with Tucker, the more I fell in love with him and knew he would be a perfect addition to our family and to my life.
Tucker has now been living with us for a month, and things couldn’t be better! He is extremely playful and affectionate and has connected so well with us. He can clearly sense that he’s in his new home, and he endears himself to all who meet him. He loves to tug and play fetch, and has even learned a new trick since being here! I certainly could not have asked for a more perfect dog, and I’m thrilled that I rescued him.
So thanks to the Dogs at Camp team and to our Foster Camper program. Tucker thanks you too!
Stephanie.
